Plans this summer
All I'm doing this summer is swimming. I get to teach the new ten and under team like always, but I also get paid to be a coach for the summer camp this year. We don't have any competitions, so it's 'free routines' everyday. (So we get to do anything we want with Syncro.) other than that, probably just Kings Island. I don't really do much over the summer.

Fairgrounds
They entered the creepy fairground and warily looked around. It was empty, during the middle of the day. The temparture was sky-rocketing, and the group of kids were exploring the deserted place.
"Mayra, we shouldn't have picked the lock. We shouldn't be here. This is bad and we-
"Kyle, stop! It's fine, no bodies even here. The place isn't suppose to be open until next week." Mayra cut Kyle off, stopping him shortly.
"Yeah, but that's kind of the issue," Mary fed off Kyle's doubt. "The safety inspector hasn't check things and the-"
"Can you guys stop being so good for at least an hour?" Johnny snapped, crossing his arms. "No ones here, and everything's free. There aren't any cameras, and even if there were, who's watching them? No one, because no ones here!" He scowled at the two pointedly.
After a few moments Mayra cleared her throat. "So, what's first?" None of the teenagers answered. "Okay, I'll pick." They continued to walk around the fair until they came to the tilt-a-whirl. They started to walk past them until Mary gasped.
"I love these!" She laughed. "If you and Johnny are going to make us stay here, we've got to do these!"
Johnny sighed and they stepped over the railing. He pried open the door, and waited for everyone to get it. They sat down, and began to twist the table.
The ride creaked, then slowly sputtered to life.
They all laughed, spinning the round table faster and faster, making themselves dizzy.
After a few moments, the small door whipped open. It flapped back and forth in the wind, and Mayra took her hands off the wheel, reaching to pull it closed.
"Stop!" She yelled over the wind, waving her hands in a stopping motion. "We've got to get the door closed!"
All of the teenagers released the table, but the ride didn't stop. It began to spin faster and faster, and Kyle stuck his hand out, trying to grab the door's handle.
"This isn't right!" Mary yelled, as Kyle began to tip forward, almost falling out. Johnny grasped his arm, not letting him tumble onto the ground.
"Thanks!" Kyle laughed it off easily, "That was clos-" he didn't get a chance to finish when he was jerked out of the ride. Their wasn't a scream, but just a loud thud where he hit the ground.
No one spoke. The ride slowly died to a stop as the dreadful silence took over. Johnny climbed out first, helping the others down. They walked over to a still Kyle, his body twisted at an odd angle, unmoving.
The first to speak was Mayra. "He's dead." She whispered, nudging his hand with her foot.
"Did you even check for a pulse?" Mary asked, her body turned away from Kyle's.
Johnny crouched down beside Kyle, he felt his wrist and neck for a heartbeat, then shook his head.
"Oh my god." Mayra covered her mouth in shock.
"What are we going to tell our parents?!" Mary yelled loudly, panicking.
"I've got an idea." Johnny offered quietly. "But we have to move him."

Women's rights today
People assume that ever since the 1900's when the Woman's equal rights law was passed, they have been treated equally. They haven't. Women still get paid an average 658 dollars less then men a year. This number comes from a simple jobs like cooking or waitressing at a restaurant? Image how much less they get paid (then men) a year working a job like in the White House.
Because people (and bosses) are not required to share their amount of money they make each paycheck, women can be slipping by with 50% less than some men. On top of that, many men bosses choose to pay women less, just because they don't think women can do the job as good as a man. In some cases, this might be true, but in most, it isn't. This is very unfair to working single moms trying to sustain a living for their kids.
This issue needs to be addressed, but is very hugely overlooked by politicians and lawyers.

Dead Poets Society
I believe the main point of the movie is Carpe Diem. Ceasing the day. Doing what you believe is true and right. Living in the moment and enjoying it. This movie was amazing and I thorougly loved watching it. I have so many different opinions I can't even put them into words.

"Migrant Mother"
Sadness.
Hunger.
It smells of death.
Loss.
A joke.
This place is out of hope.
Frown.
Wrinkle.
Because their isn't anything for a smile.
Turn away.
Shy.
Nothing to say.
Done.
End.
Looks like its over.
Hunger.
It smells of death.
Loss.

Rice
Why is it,
That rice comes for water?
Is it because it needs the water,
Or do the roots come through the surface on their own,
And we just harvest them?
How did we even first discover that we could eat them?
I bet that was a little awkward.

Where do I see Poetry?
I see poetry in things that are pure. I get inspired to write poems when I see nature, and animals, and natural things. For example, I've never written a poem about a stop light, or a busy street, but I've written tons of poems about a waterfall. I think this is because I see poetry as a beautiful thing, and I want to write it about beautiful things. I want it to stay simple, and innocent, I guess. Poetry is words that come together in a flowing and easy way, and can mean many different things to different people.

Sometimes
Sometimes I have trouble excepting reality is really what it is. I see things out of the corner of my eye, or I have to look at things twice to figure out what it really is. I mean, I think we all want thereto be something else. Something more exciting than just... Being human. Something bigger than us. But is there? And how will we know? Will we find out when we die or simply disappear without ever knowing? I truly don't understand sometimes how the fabric of reality holds itself together. Sure, we could get into all that science-y stuff but isn't it more fun just imagining? I'm not sure I want there to be something else, but the fact that there isn't just makes life so... Boring. And plain. Sort of like vanilla ice cream. It's good, but if you could add stuff to it, would you? Most people would say yes, so let's say you get chocolate chip ice cream instead. Well if that's all you could have ice cream flavor wise, you wouldn't want it anymore, would you?
I guess this is why I have trouble with life sometimes.

Why?
I know this has been questioned before,
buts whats the point in living?
I'm sorry I don't understand,
but I need some help.
We're all going to the same place eventually.
Wether it be Heaven,
Doom,
Nothing.
But we'll all get there some day.
So why would it matter if we sit around all day,
or become the president of the USA?

Not the way they're suppose to be
I think of my brain in odd ways, you see.
Never like what it's suppose to be.
I don't understand the normal function,
but I know what it does.
Life is like this,
wouldn't you agree?
You see things differently
stranger, if you will,
than what they are
suppose to be.

Inbetween
"I told you, I don't know how!" Megan growled, tied to the chair. The patrol guards stared back at her blankly. She knew they wouldn't understand, they could comprehend it. They were robots, wired for combat. They couldn't do things unless they were programmed to.
"We will only tell you one more time." The two said simultaneously, in a choppy metallic voice, as always. "Inbetweener, contact a spirit or we will be forced to take you to Zeus." Zeus. No one knew who he was, or what he looked like, but he was the ruler of the people. City fold closer to the capital said he could kill things with the blink of an eye.
"I don't even know what that is!" Megan screamed louder, pushing against the ropes holding her in place.

Black Rope
Zale pulled off her tattered boots and set them quietly on the ground. She stood and moved to the window, looking out over the yard. Zale couldn't remember grass. She had only seen it once when her parents had taken a tour of the green facility, but that had been 11 years ago. The ground outside was a charred tan, with cracks running through the dry soil. The cracks had a bubbling black liquid spewing through it. The Black Rope.
The Black Rope was a disease that strangled you, literally. You touched this stuff, and it traveled up your skin and threw your veins until it got to your brain stem and killed you... It was more complicated than that, but that was all Zale knew. People couldn't walk outside anymore without specialized boots and clothes the government supplied. The air wasn't breathable, either, because they're weren't any tree's left.

My thoughts on love?
Love. I feel like the word love is widely over used. I hear my friends talking about how they told their boyfriends/girlfriends that they loved them last night. I mean, come on. Aren't we too young for all this? After all, 'love is just a shout in the void.'
And even some 20-25 year olds, (Not all, my parents met at a young age) but most of those young relationships don't last and end up getting divorced, sometimes with kids they can't take care of.
Also, 'teenage love.' Girls are having kids with guys at this age and thinking that they can be the best mom and best dad ever. Not true. Most of the time the guy leaves the girl before she gives birth, or talks the girl into getting an abortion.
Love is widely over used, and I feel it isn't even true most of the time.

Waves
Wind whips across the waves,
Thrashing them back and forth.
They curn a dark blue, with stark white foam crashing aside the ship.
I stand at the mast, over looking the chaos.
Back and forth, back and forth.
The ships rocks, trying to throw the crew over board.
Why is it that there are no fish?
Where have they gone?
Are they hiding, like my crew, under us?
Back and forth, back and forth.
Sails crack, flowing around through the wind.
The rain feels like hail, and thunder is rolling in the distance.
And so I blink again, and everything is calm.
Sunny, sea gulls flying over head and fish blubbering around.
I guess this is what it is like,
In the sea of my mind.

Dreams
Life is a series of days, filled with hours. And in those hours are minutes and then seconds and milliseconds, and it just keeps going.
You have choice, which makes this time seem to go faster. The red one, or the blue one? Water, or something less healthy but better tasting? You don't always think you have choices? Think again. Even with huge things like the presidency, you can still choose who you vote for.
I can bet I can tell you something you can't choose.
(And no, it's not family. You can run away, and there are many ways away from them.)
It's dreams.
No matter how hard you think about something, or if you fall asleep looking at something, you can't control what happens in those dreams.
Where you aware that every night, you dream? You know that feeling you have when you know you dreamed but can't remember what you dreamed? Well, what if your dream ended before you woke up? You can't always remember every dream, but they're there, every night.
Dreaming was made because sleeping is the closest thing to death without death.
If you just slept, every night, you would experience death and what death feels like without dying. Sort of like immortality, right? Well, we can't have that. Dreams are to replace death before death.

What will life be like in 2054?
Right now, I don't feel like America is currently progressing with the whole "Fly Cars, Servant Robots" popular idea of the future. I know that scientists did successfully create a flying car, but are they really going to sell it? What about the government, do they really want us with that kind of power? I mean, image what we could do with a flying car; fly anywhere, and possibly drop cameras into places or things.
I guess the real question is, 'Will America (Or the world), change between now and then?' Well, yes. Of course, there's always going to be that new high-speed-super-cook microwave, and that newly improved sucks-by-itself vacuum. But, will we have flying cars? or will the world go in the other direction, the direction of the apocalypse?
Now, I'm not talking about the whole hunger games-divergent apocalypse, but will some natural disaster happen that causes world chaos? What about another world war? Any of these things could change humanity hugely from where it is now.
Personally, if no war or natural disaster happens, I believe that America will stay mostly the same. Sure, there might be that phone-project setting where you can see a 3D image of the other person, but that's not, say, Flying Cars and Talking Robots.

Winter Girls
Hi, I'm going to do a book review on the book Winter Girls by Laurie Halse Anderson.
Winter Girls is about about 17 year old Lea. Her best friend, Cassie has just passed away before the story starts. Before Cassie died, the two had strange eating habits. Lea refused to take in more than 500 calories a day, and Cassie would eat excessively then puke it up at the end of her meals. When Cassie died, things got harded on Lea. Her parents are divorced, and and can't stand her real mom or stepmom. I highly recommend this book, and I have had conversations with guy friends and girl friends about it. This book helps you see the truth to it, and how it is not the way to live. It even helped me 'Thaw'.
