What will life be like in 2054?

Right now, I don't feel like America is currently progressing with the whole "Fly Cars, Servant Robots" popular idea of the future. I know that scientists did successfully create a flying car, but are they really going to sell it? What about the government, do they really want us with that kind of power? I mean, image what we could do with a flying car; fly anywhere, and possibly drop cameras into places or things.
I guess the real question is, 'Will America (Or the world), change between now and then?' Well, yes. Of course, there's always going to be that new high-speed-super-cook microwave, and that newly improved sucks-by-itself vacuum. But, will we have flying cars? or will the world go in the other direction, the direction of the apocalypse?
Now, I'm not talking about the whole hunger games-divergent apocalypse, but will some natural disaster happen that causes world chaos? What about another world war? Any of these things could change humanity hugely from where it is now.
Personally, if no war or natural disaster happens, I believe that America will stay mostly the same. Sure, there might be that phone-project setting where you can see a 3D image of the other person, but that's not, say, Flying Cars and Talking Robots.

Winter Girls

Hi, I'm going to do a book review on the book Winter Girls by Laurie Halse Anderson.
Winter Girls is about about 17 year old Lea. Her best friend, Cassie has just passed away before the story starts. Before Cassie died, the two had strange eating habits. Lea refused to take in more than 500 calories a day, and Cassie would eat excessively then puke it up at the end of her meals. When Cassie died, things got harded on Lea. Her parents are divorced, and and can't stand her real mom or stepmom. I highly recommend this book, and I have had conversations with guy friends and girl friends about it. This book helps you see the truth to it, and how it is not the way to live. It even helped me 'Thaw'.
